Campaign migration creates a new campaign using the keywords, ads, bids, schedule, extensions etc of an old campaign. Campaign migration is important because when it creates a new campaign it automatically follows the best practices in Google AdWords for eg :

  • Single keyword ad groups to track and bid the highest and lowest converting keywords
  • Different ad groups for different matchtypes
  • No duplicate keywords
  • Zero internal competition

These best practices might not have been present in the old campaign.
