Auto-redirect vs. Show modal — what's the difference?

Auto-redirect sends visitors straight to their matching Market; Show modal asks them to confirm first with a pop-up.

Both live under Geo Redirects > Configuration > Redirection mode:

• Auto-redirect — the visitor is redirected immediately, with no extra click.
• Show modal (our recommended default) — the visitor sees a pop-up confirming their detected country/language before anything changes, so they stay in control.

We recommend Show modal for most stores. Immediate, automatic redirects based on IP detection are a well-known SEO risk if a crawler or shared-network visitor gets redirected unexpectedly, whereas a confirmation pop-up avoids that entirely.
