How many redirects can be created in Nabu Redirect Manager ?

Nabu Redirect Manager follows Shopify’s native redirect limitations for Shopify 404 redirects, while providing unlimited flexibility for Wildcard and RegEx redirects.

Understanding Redirect Limits

Nabu Redirect Manager supports three types of redirects:

  1. Shopify 404 Redirects

  1. Wildcard Redirects

  1. RegEx Redirects

  • Each type follows different limits based on Shopify’s infrastructure and app behavior.

Shopify 404 Redirect Limits

Shopify enforces a hard limit on the number of URL redirects that can exist in a store.

Shopify Redirect Limits are as follows :

  • All Shopify Plans:

✅ Up to 100,000 Shopify redirects

  • Shopify Plus Stores:

✅ Up to 20 million Shopify redirects

Important Notes

  • These limits are set by Shopify, not by Nabu Redirect Manager.
  • Nabu Redirect Manager syncs fixed 404 redirects to Shopify, so they count toward Shopify’s redirect limit.
  • Shopify redirects cannot be enabled or disabled from the app — they can only be deleted.

Wildcard and RegEx redirect Limits

  • Wildcard and RegEx redirects currently do not have any limit.
  • They are not synced to Shopify, hence they will not be counted in Shopify redirect limits.
  • Fully handled inside the Nabu Redirect Manager app.
  • Can be enabled or disabled using the toggle in the Wildcard / RegEx Redirects tab.
  • Wildcard redirects are ideal for handling bulk URL patterns (e.g., discontinued collections or folder-level changes).
  • RegEx redirects are best suited for advanced URL matching logic and complex redirect rules.
