# How many redirects can be created in Nabu Redirect Manager ?

### Nabu Redirect Manager follows Shopify’s native redirect limitations for Shopify 404 redirects, while providing unlimited flexibility for Wildcard and RegEx redirects.

#### Understanding Redirect Limits

Nabu Redirect Manager supports three types of redirects:

1. Shopify 404 Redirects

2. Wildcard Redirects

3. RegEx Redirects

* Each type follows different limits based on Shopify’s infrastructure and app behavior.

#### Shopify 404 Redirect Limits

Shopify enforces a hard limit on the number of URL redirects that can exist in a store.
Shopify Redirect Limits are as follows : 

* All Shopify Plans:
     ✅ Up to 100,000 Shopify redirects

* Shopify Plus Stores:
     ✅ Up to 20 million Shopify redirects

Important Notes
* These limits are set by Shopify, not by Nabu Redirect Manager.
* Nabu Redirect Manager syncs fixed 404 redirects to Shopify, so they count toward Shopify’s redirect limit.
* Shopify redirects cannot be enabled or disabled from the app — they can only be deleted.

#### Wildcard and RegEx redirect Limits

* Wildcard and RegEx redirects currently do not have any limit. 
* They are not synced to Shopify, hence they will not be counted in Shopify redirect limits. 
* Fully handled inside the Nabu Redirect Manager app. 
* Can be enabled or disabled using the toggle in the Wildcard / RegEx Redirects tab.
* Wildcard redirects are ideal for handling bulk URL patterns (e.g., discontinued collections or folder-level changes).
* RegEx redirects are best suited for advanced URL matching logic and complex redirect rules.
