How Shopify Sync Works in the Nabu Image Optimizer App

After you complete onboarding, Nabu Image Optimizer syncs all your store images from Shopify. Here's what to expect.

What happens during sync

The app pulls all images from the sources you selected (Products, Collections, Blogs) into the app. You'll see a "Sync in progress" indicator in the top-right corner of the home page showing progress.

Viewing sync details

Click on the sync indicator to open the Sync Status modal. It shows:

• A progress bar with the number of items synced
• Estimated time remaining
• Breakdown by source — Products, Collections, and Blogs — with individual progress counts

Can I use the app while syncing?

Yes. You can close the modal and explore the app while the sync continues in the background.

When sync completes

The indicator in the top-right corner updates to "Sync completed" with a green checkmark and the final count. Your Total Images in Store count on the home page will update to reflect all synced images.
