# How to change content ID in TikTok Pixel ?

**Content ID** is the product identifier sent to TikTok along with event data. It can be set in two ways:

* **Variant ID (Recommended):** Sends the unique ID of the specific product variant purchased. For example, if you sell a “Ball” in red and green, TikTok will receive the ID for the chosen color variant.
* **Product ID:** Sends the general product ID, regardless of the variant. In the “Ball” example, TikTok will always receive the same product ID whether red or green is purchased.

**How to change this setting:**
1. Go to **Settings >  TikTok integration** and navigate to "Content ID Settings"

2. Choose either **Variant ID** or **Product ID**, and save using contextual save bar on top.
