# How to enable Test Events in the Nabu Facebook Pixel app?

## Use Test Events to confirm that the events sent by your pixel are reaching Meta correctly.

Test Events lets you interact with your store and watch the events arrive in Meta Events Manager in real time. In our app, test events are sent server-side, so the Conversions API must be enabled for the pixel before you can use a test code.

**Follow the below steps to enable Test Events:**

1. In our app, open the homepage and click the name of the pixel you want to test. Scroll down to the **Test Code** section.

2. If **Enable Test Events** shows the message "Enable conversion API to use test event code", the **Enable** button stays greyed out. Enable the **Conversions API** for this pixel first by adding a valid access token, then come back to **Test Code**.

3. Get your test code from Meta. Click **Get test code**, or in Meta Events Manager go to **Data Sources > [your pixel] > Test events**. Copy the value shown next to test_event_code.

4. Back in our app, click **Enable** in the **Test Code** section, paste the code into the **Enter test code** field, and click **Save**.

5. Keep the **Test events** tab open in Events Manager and browse your store: view a product, add it to the cart, or place a test order. Your events appear in the list with a **Processed** status, along with the parameters we send for each event.

6. Once you have finished testing, clear the test code and click **Disable** in the **Test Code** section, then click **Save**. If you leave a test code in place, your live events keep being sent as test events and Meta will not use them to optimise your ads.

That's all. Once your events show up under **Test events**, you can be confident that your pixel is set up correctly.
