How fast do schema changes from the app reflect on my store?

When you change a schema setting in our app, like enabling Merchant Schema, adding shipping rates, or hiding out-of-stock products — there are two stages of update to keep in mind: how fast the change appears on your live store, and how fast it appears in Google Search results.

Stage 1: From the app to your storefront — immediate.

The moment you click Save and see the Changes saved toast, your new configuration is live. The next time the page is loaded on your store, our App Embed Block reads the latest settings and outputs the updated JSON-LD schema in the page source. You do not need to republish your theme, clear any cache, or do anything in Shopify.

Stage 2: From your storefront to Google Search — days to weeks.

Once the new schema is on your storefront, Google still needs to re-crawl and re-index the page before the updated rich result (price, availability, breadcrumb, and so on) shows in Search. Google controls this timing, and it usually takes a few days to a few weeks, depending on how often Googlebot visits your site. This wait is the same for every schema app and is not something any app can speed up directly.
