How to setup TikTok Pixel app ?

Set up Nabu for TikTok Pixel in a few clicks. Our app adds the TikTok pixel to your store automatically, so you do not need to copy or paste any code.

This is a one-time setup. You do not need to repeat it when you add a new pixel or change your events later.

  1. Open the Nabu for TikTok Pixel app. On Step 1/2, stay on the Connect TikTok Account tab and log in with your TikTok account if asked.
  2. Select your Advertiser Account and then your Pixel from the dropdowns. If you do not have a pixel yet, click Create New Pixel. Then click Next.

Connect TikTok Account step

If you prefer to add your pixel without connecting your TikTok account, click the Manually Add Pixel tab. Enter a Pixel Name and your Pixel ID, and click Next. Not sure where to find your Pixel ID? Read How to Find Your TikTok Pixel Code.

  1. On Step 2/2, keep Enable Advanced Matching turned on (recommended). Then select the Conversion Tracking Events you want to track: Purchase Event, Add to Cart Event and Initiate Checkout Event.
  2. Click Complete. We now install the TikTok pixel on your store automatically as a Shopify app pixel. There is no script to copy and nothing to paste.

Step 2/2 events and Advanced Matching

  1. If Shopify asks you to update the app's data access, click Update. This lets us send hashed customer data to TikTok for Advanced Matching.

  1. On the app home page, check the App Embed Block banner. If it shows Disabled, click Activate and turn on the app embed in your theme. Follow How to enable App Embed Block for TikTok Pixel for the detailed steps.

How do I check that the pixel is installed?
In your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Customer events. You will see Nabu for TikTok Pixel in the list of pixels with a green Web status.

I set up the app earlier by pasting your script as a custom pixel. What should I do?
You do not need to add a custom pixel anymore. Please keep your existing custom pixel for now. We will show a message in the app when it is safe to remove it.
That's all. You do not need to repeat these steps when you add a new pixel or change events. We will take care of the rest.
